The University uses the Banner Finance accounting system marketed by SCT Corporation. The system is fully automated and includes a general ledger; several subsidiary ledgers, including an operating ledger; a grants ledger; an accounts payable system; and an encumbrance system. The operating ledger and grants ledger account for the budget, revenues, and expenditures of each separate sponsored project.
